We invest in lower middle-market companies positioned for growth and where we can rely on our industry-specific focus and prior experiences to help guide critical investment decisions. We focus on situations where we can leverage our operational experience to add significant value through growth, business development and operational improvement rather than through financial engineering or excessive leverage. 


Our Advisory Board and Investor base is patient and the focus isn't necessarily a quick return but more developing management teams so that it is a team approach to building value. We've aligned ourselves with an investor base that is operationally savvy, which allows us to take a hands on approach and step into roles when needed. This "roll up your sleeves" approach has created tremendous value in every situation we have been involved in and most of our investors have realized great gains as a result.

Although we prefer control investments, we will consider significant minority investments and we are actively pursuing full buyouts, management-led buy-outs, recapitalizations, generational-driven sales or transitions, and growth equity investments meeting the following criteria:

Transaction/Company Size

  • Enterprise Value: $20-125 million
  • EBITDA: $3-$15 million
  • Equity Investment: $7-$30 million
  • Minimum Revenue: $15 million

Target Company Type

  • North American Headquarters
  • Experienced Management team in place a plus but not necessary depending on how our Advisory Board matched up
  • Defensible position in large end markets with stable to growing demand
  • Unique Product or Service base that competitively differentiates from peers
  • Continuous Customer base

Target Industries

  • Manufacturing with highly engineered product base, preferably with a significant defendable patent base
  • Industrial or Commercial Services
  • Medical Device Manufacturing or Solutions Provider with continuous and growing subscription base
  • Non-branded Consumer Products
  • Value-added distribution and supplychain
  • Private Medical Ground Transport preferably in medallion states with favorable payor mixes

Transaction Types

  • Control or significant minority positions
  • Management led buy-outs and recapitalization
  • Carve-out of non-core assets from larger parent companies
  • Ownership Liquidity driven events whether succession planning or generational transfers
